Admission Requirements

General Entrance Requirements:

Core Subjects Three Elective Subjects
English Language Chinese Language Any Subject
Level 2 Level 2
Note:
  • Applied Learning Chinese (ApL(C)) will be accepted as an alternative Chinese Language qualification for admission consideration for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) DSE candidates.
Level 2
Note:
  • “Attained” for Citizenship and Social Development will be considered as equivalent to Level 2 in HKDSE subjects.
  • A maximum of two Applied Learning subjects, excluding Applied Learning Chinese (ApL(C)), can be used in the application.
  • “Attained” , “Attained with Distinction (I)” and “Attained with Distinction (II)” Level in Applied Learning subjects will be considered as equivalent to Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 in HKDSE subjects respectively.

Progression Pathways

Higher Diploma Programmes emphasise on practical trainings. Graduates are able to integrate theory and practice and become professionals in their field of studies. Graduates can articulate to degree programmes offered by Hong Kong or overseas universities. About half of the graduates pursued further studies and another half developed their career after graduation.

After completing the 2-year full-time Higher Diploma programmes, graduates can further their studies via UGC-funded/self-funded local undergraduate degree programmes, top-up undergraduate degree programmes, study overseas, or enter the career market.
