Career Path: The IT career path of the company includes IT Trainee, IT Analyst/Associate Engineer, Senior IT Analyst/Engineer/IT Team Lead, IT Project Manager, IT Manager, and IT Senior Manager, which spread across four areas of work: IT Management Office, Cloud Program and Infrastructure Transformation, IT Business Enablement and IT Business Partnering.
Global Presence: The company has setup offices in different countries and cities which include Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Southeast Asia & Taiwan and Australia, and employs around 200+ IT professionals.

About this programme

Start your career in technology through our paid 3-year trainee programme. We offer valuable knowledge, skills and experience through rotations and attachments across our key focus areas and business functions such as Mobility, Advanced Data Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Applications, Cloud and Infrastructure.

You will rotate every 6 months depending on the business needs and your interests. You can expect to work on exciting projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. An intense training curriculum will further enable you to develop a broad range of both technical and transferable skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user requirement studies (liaising with IT Business Partnering team), system analysis and design, contract negotiation with IT vendor(s), etc.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for solution planning, service delivery and technical support activities.
  • Manage implementation of IT systems which are crucial to CLP’s business operations including systems related to Generation and Power Systems.
  • Participate in system development/ deployment, testing, training, system cutover/ rollout, documentation, maintenance and support.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines is a must. Master’s degree in a related field would be an advantage.
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in providing IT services.
  • Experience or knowledge in Landis+Gyr Command Center, Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge in project and vendor management.
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge in any of the following skills would be an advantage:
    - .NET, .NET Core, .NET framework, MS Power Platform, Java, JavaScript, RDBMS (e.g. MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL), API Management Platform (e.g. Apigee), Enterprise Integration Platform (e.g. Dell Boomi)
    - Cloud Computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, containerisation, virtualisation and other cloud services
    - Agile software development methodology, Scrum, DevOps, API based application integration and experience/ knowledge in design thinking is highly preferable.
  • Professional credentials in ITIL, PMP, COBIT, ScrumMaster, DevOps, or relevant disciplines preferred.
  • Proven track record of problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork.
  • Good at vendor management, change management and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of ModelOps Engineers to identify business insights required, design and test approach, create algorithms and build complex data models.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques including machine learning, statistical modelling, data mining, etc. to deliver intelligence which facilitates problem-solving and solutioning against business problems and opportunities.
  • Provide quality assurance, best practice guidance, and collaborate with ModelOps Engineers to perform tasks, this position will be responsible for leading and driving the delivery of projects.
  • Enhance and sustain big data algorithms, models, and insights.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner.
  • Utilise big data and other data-related technologies to provide innovation and thought leadership.

Requirement

  • A recognised university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related disciplines. Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.
  • At least 7-year development experience of statistical models, such as Bayesian, regression and linear optimisation models and machine learning models, including deep learning and graph applications with at least 2-year leading a team.
  • Experience in data visualisation, management and deep learning tools including SQL, Spark/Hive, Neural network with Tensorflow, CUDA, etc.
  • Algorithm design, implementation and operationalisation experience.
  • An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to seek requirements for analysis, output format and visualisation, and provide requirements to data engineers.
  • Fluency in at least one of the following programming languages: R, Python, Scala.
  • Familiarity with big data-related technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, SQL, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Knowledge in implementing DevOps for automated deployments from Lab to production of Analytical models.
  • Ability to conceptualise complex technical ideas and articulate, socialise among senior stakeholders in business context.
  • Excellent stakeholder management to ensure smooth delivery of solutions/ products.
  • Experience in a supervisory role and demonstrated effective leadership across the ranks.
  • Experience in IT Project/ Program Management, IT Service Management, Agile Delivery Methods.
  • Ability to handle complex multiple assignments at the same time and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the energy sector or other asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digitise and optimise existing paper-based and/or manual business processes across the organisation to help reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Lead the investigation of existing business processes and architect how processes can be automated/ digitalised and also identified opportunities to consolidate, optimise and/or eliminate redundant activities.
  • Develop automation of steps on the chosen cloud-based workflow platform in conjunction with supporting suppliers.
  • Promote the use of online workflows, monitor the adoption of automation/ digitalisation, and educate users on the usage.
  • Understand, monitor and administer the new cloud workflow platform and other systems as required.

Job Requirement

  • A self-driven individual with strong technical and problem solving capabilities, yet possesses strengths in communication and stakeholder engagement would be an ideal candidate.
  • A recognised university degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Business Analyst certification would be an advantage with at least 3 years’ IT experience.
  • Strong demonstrated business analysis skills is a must.
  • Experience in business process reengineering / streamlining / Business process automation / workflow automation an advantage.
  • Experience in cloud solutions (any of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and/or API Management a clear advantage (preferably with experience in any of AgilePoint, SalesForce, K2, ServinceNow, Nintex, or similar).
  • Experienced in project delivery methodology (preferably Agile/SCRUM).
  • Self-initiated, strong teamwork, creative with good analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good documentation / report writing / training skills Good spoken and written English. Good spoken Cantonese will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver technology standardisation and innovation - Facilitate scoping and business priority setting through use cases or design artefacts; ability to understand business needs and propose IT solution options with strategic considerations and alignment with overall IT strategy, cloud strategy and IT standard.
  • Conduct solution sourcing – Conduct market research to shortlist IT solutions; evaluate solution options and propose recommendations to IT key stakeholders; support RFP development and tendering process.
  • Deliver solution architecture – Develop end to end solution blueprint which will act as a source of guidance and control for the solution implementation.
  • Facilitate business and IT strategic alignment – Work closely with Business Partnering Senior Managers to support key business transformation projects (e.g. digital transformation, process digitalisation, ERP transformation, IoT architecture, etc.) in strategic planning and solution planning.
  • Stakeholder Management – Coordinate with key stakeholders in business and IT to align the end-to-end solution architecture and obtain formal agreement from key stakeholders on architectural deliverables

Requirement

  • A recognised university degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.
  • At least 8-10 years of utilities industry or IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments.
  • Experiences in architecture design for transformational program.
  • Proven ability to be effective in a customer facing role, driving customer centric ways of working.
  • Professional credentials in ITIL, PMP, COBIT, ScrumMaster, DevOps, or relevant disciplines preferred.
  • Solution architecture certification(s) in one (or more) cloud/ on-premise solution(s), where applicable.
  • Good at problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as influencing and leadership skills.
  • Good at facilitation, vendor management, project management, change management and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Infrastructure Manager to formulate the network and security strategy and architecture design.
  • Manage the enterprise network and security infrastructure, including multi-cloud networking, data centre network, campus network, WiFi network, regional MPLS network, IT/OT network integration, Internet infrastructure platform, network access control and security platforms, and video conference infrastructure.
  • Lead a team of engineers and managed services vendors to provide high quality implementation services of network related projects and round the clock support to support business applications.
  • Provide network support to other CLP regional offices, mainly in China, India and Australia.
  • Responsible for technical design, implementation plans, support documents and review of network changes.
  • Drive process improvement in network security strengthening, process automation and proactive monitoring.
  • Lead the team on latest technology, process adoption and automation, e.g. DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regional business travel may be required.

Requirement

  • A recognised university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of related experience in enterprise infrastructure network and security environments on cloud and data center networks including architecture design, project planning, implementation, documentation, and administration, in which at least 3 years of team management experience.
  • Extensive experience in WAN, LAN, Data Centre, multi-cloud and SaaS networking, Wi-Fi, firewall, network access control, global load balancing, application delivery controller, content distribution networks, virtualisation, video conferencing platform, etc.
  • Familiar with products of Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo-Alto, FireEye, Zscaler, Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Cloudflare, Equinix, Megaport, Infoblox, etc.
  • Lead implementation and monitoring for enterprise network and security with latest technology to support mission critical applications in 24x7 production environment.
  • Professional credentials in ITIL, PMP, CISSP, cloud certificate or relevant disciplines will be an advantage.
  • Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment, and to respond calmly and rationally to changing aspirations in a deadline-driven situation.
  • Strong planning and organising skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of problem solving and analytical abilities and able to use own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and coach a team to provide support to and drive the continuous improvement for utility retail, CRM applications and Smart Grid initiatives.
  • Responsible for overall successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of customer facing initiatives and projects to enhance operation efficiency and uplifting customer services.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with key user representatives and owns the on time and within budget delivery for assigned projects at the required level of quality.
  • Lead and manage internal resources and external vendors, evaluate work processes to improve the team’s effectiveness as well as the quality of services to business.
  • In collaboration and consultation with Senior Manager, responsible for the planning, staffing, implementation, control and evaluation of assigned projects.
  • Drive overall user satisfaction through effective coordination and communication of deliverables.

Job Requirement

  • University degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in a team leading or project management role.
  • Possessing PMP certification and a Business Analyst certification from HKITPC will be an advantage.
  • Strong people and project management skills, solution design with knowledge of architecture standards.
  • Extensive experience in managing external vendors, delivering multi-projects in parallel, and management of software-related risk.
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development, Prototyping, Rapid Development approach, Microsoft Azure, API development.
  • Technical and domain knowledge in utility retail, CRM and Smart Grid IT solutions with experience in digital transformation, quantitative and user behaviour analysis and possess passion for creating digital user experience is advantageous.
  • Self-initiative, fast learning, creative and innovative with excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as possessing good business understanding with intent to add value to the business.
  • Good presentation / documentation / report writing skill.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage.
  • Good track records of meeting project schedules.
  • Willing to accept short-term overseas assignments as and when required.
