Driving Digital Transformation of Government Services

The Digital Policy Office works together with bureaux/departments (B/Ds) in improving government services through the “Be the Smart Regulator” and “Streamlining of Government Services” Programmes.

With the B/Ds reaching the Policy Addess (PA) targets on full digitalisation of government services, our upcoming target will be moving towards enhancing accessibility and user-friendliness of digital government services.

Government AI Chatbots – Your Digital Service Assistants

Government AI chatbots are intelligent digital assistants designed to enhance public service efficiency and convenience by providing citizens with fast, accurate, and easily accessible information. By automating the handling of citizens’ daily inquiries, AI chatbots improve response efficiency, significantly reduce administrative burdens, and thereby free up human resources for more complex tasks. This drives the delivery of more efficient and user-centric public services.

“Be the Smart Regulator” Programme

Launched in 2007, the “Be the Smart Regulator” Programme aims to improve the efficiency, transparency, and business-friendliness of licensing regimes, with a view to relieving compliance costs and administrative burdens of business sectors.
