We aim to be the preferred consulting partner for all government policy bureaux and departments and offer consultancy services. The team possesses extensive understanding of public policies, specialised knowledge of business processes and management and market intelligence on new technologies and practices. We have broad contacts and linkages throughout the private sector and within the Government. Making the best out of these assets, we provide strategic and practical solutions to our clients as they seek to deliver people-based public services. Types of consultancies include business process re-engineering, departmental management reviews, organisational reviews, performance measurement, design thinking, knowledge management, shared services, public sector innovation, information technology application studies, streamlining of government services and reviews on business facilitation as well as market and financial analysis.

 

In addition to our primary role as the management consultant of the Government, the MSO team is also a public sector innovation think tank helping to find and implement innovations and identify improvement opportunities across departmental boundaries, acting as a catalyst to drive cross-departmental initiatives and helping to prototype and incubate new services and practices.

 

MSOs work as a team showing care and respect for our members, and focus on learning together with our clients and partners. We are open-minded to a wide range of perspectives, ready to take on board new ideas and keen to explore unfamiliar territory.

 

MSOs may be posted to work in different policy bureaux and departmental units. We work in close partnership with colleagues of different grades in providing service in the areas of general consulting, resource management and other specialised fields.
