Digital Policy Office
Led by the Commissioner for Digital Policy, the Digital Policy Office (DPO) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government formulates data-driven, user-centric and outcome-based policies and supports measures to lead government bureaux and departments in accelerating the development of digital government to enhance efficiency and quality of government services to bring benefits to citizens and businesses.
Who we are
The DPO was set up in July 2024 by merging the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Efficiency Office. Representing a consortium of know-how of the two offices specialized in information technology (IT) and business processes re-engineering, the DPO is responsible for formulating policies on digital government, data governance and information technology. The establishment of the DPO is an important step in enhancing governance and driving the development of digital government by bolstering the Government’s capabilities in addressing long-term and strategic issues.
