“OSH 2.0” Mobile App

Digital Government

To create a safer and healthier working environment in Hong Kong, the Labour Department (LD) launched the newly designed “OSH 2.0” mobile application in March 2024 to provide stakeholders and members of the public with the latest occupational safety and health (OSH) information through an enhanced user interface and the following features:

  • “Work Safety Alert” in text and animation: Alert employers, contractors and employees to the occurrences of serious or fatal accidents and remind them of the relevant preventive measures
  • Online OSH Complaint Form: Allow employees and the public to report unsafe working conditions
  • Online Enrolment of OSH Training Courses: Browse programme booklet and submit online applications
  • Important Announcement: Post and disseminate important OSH messages speedily

“OSH 2.0” has brought the following benefits to the relevant stakeholders, ultimately fostering a safer and healthier work environment.

Enhanced OSH Awareness
Stakeholders need to adhere stringently to statutory requirements to safeguard the OSH of their employees. “OSH 2.0” allows not only stakeholders but also members of the public to obtain the latest OSH information to assist them in enhancing OSH awareness and fostering a culture of safety.

Optimal Accessibility
Employees working in non-office or outdoor settings have limited access to online information via computers, but are at higher risk of work accidents. “OSH 2.0” therefore comes into play for the timely dissemination of potential hazards and safety precautions to employees concerned.

In addition, browsing information from mobile phone has virtually become a “new normal” for new generation which makes mobile apps an irreplaceable tool for the purpose. “OSH 2.0” has consolidated the important OSH information from the LD websites, making them right at users’ fingertips anytime anywhere.

Easy Training Enrolment
iAM Smart users may enrol LD OSH Training Courses via “OSH 2.0” with form-filling and identity authentication features, making the process fast and convenient.
