“iAM Smart” Sandbox Programme
With the rapid development of internet economy and smart city over the past few years, the Government expects that “iAM Smart”, together with other digital facilities, can bring about breakthrough for the digital transformation of the society. Digital Policy Office (DPO) actively facilitates public and private organisations to adopt “iAM Smart” platform in their online services and bring new user experiences to the public with the following features:
- Identity verification: retrieve customers’ information from “iAM Smart” to verify their identity
- Remote account opening: open accounts with verified personal information from “iAM Smart”
- Service login: password-free login to online services via “iAM Smart”
- Digital signing: sign documents online with digital signing of “iAM Smart+”.
To assist the development of “iAM Smart”-enabled services, DPO collaborates with Cyberport to launch the “iAM Smart” Sandbox Programme (Sandbox Programme) in 2020 for public and private organisations to access simulated APIs and integrated testing environments for adoption of “iAM Smart”. The Sandbox Programme facilitates the “iAM Smart” adoption in the following aspects:
- Documentations: Detailed API specifications and developer guide to enable a comprehensive understanding of “iAM Smart” integration.
- Training Resources: Free programming resources providing a clear grasp of the user interface of system tools to facilitate system development.
- Simulated APIs: To enable developers to try the “iAM Smart” functions and APIs for assessing their potential applicability in specific use cases.
- Integrated Test Environment: An end-to-end integrated platform providing a realistic testing environment.
- Helpdesk: Technical support to help resolving issues and speed up development.
The Sandbox Programme is now open to various business sectors. Please click here to view the full list of the eligible sectors.
